Noob taking the leap and ditching my ios for a real tablet!

Hoping to get some help and what type of Android device to buy and learn from the community.

I am an ios junkie for 7 years but ditching it for the future!!

The only product available in the United States that functions as a true competitor to the current-generation iPad Air is the Sony Xperia Tablet Z2, which clocks in at $499.99 for the 16GB WiFi model, the same as the iPad.
