It's possible, depending on what you've changed (like freezing the update service or something else unknown) . But then again, since nobody has dev'ed any custom roms, of which you aren't running, you may just simply get the next OTA update.
I know when I decided to root my Droid X, I chose to run a custom rom as well, which changed my device (for the better) to not be able to grab any new VZW updates to Moto Blur.
We'll see when, if ever, Vizio decides to address the sd card and bluetooth keyboard issues or if they decide to push out a version 4 update.
Maybe I'm spreading rumors I googled it and haven't seen anything about it. I'm sure I saw something about it while I was trying to get root but I'm not findig it now.
