Odd Registration Experience

When I went to register my VTAB1008 from the Woot sale, I entered the serial # and it would not accept it as a refurbed unit. When I tried registering as a new unit, it accepted the serial and thanked me for registering.

Because of your post, I went to the Vizio site to register my new wooted tab. Got the same issue, the site told me that it was not a recert device! Go figure!

Add me to the woot list. Now I wonder if they're going to treat it as new for warranty issues since we couldn't register them as reconditioned?

Me too! (& hoping the same thing!)

My wife was almost apologetic when she told me my Christmas Gift was a refurb (I'd already seen a sticker in the quick-start guide). She beamed when I told her Woot must have run out of beat up old VTABs and sent her a brand new one.

i just registered my refurb i bought from newegg and this happened only let me register it as new lol
