Please HELP!!

I was hoping someone could please help me
I recently brought my daughter a Binatone Homesurf tablet 8 for xmas and now i am trying to set it up for her eg. download games, music and stuff for her to play with in the car for when when go away.
My problem is i cant get it to connect to the internet in order to download the games it tells me it has picked up my wirelss signals and sits around three bars but when ever i try to load anything on the net it times out.....Am i doing something wrong or is there a certain way i should be doing this?
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Make sure you check the 3g setting with yr wireless provider..
if you are using wifi only, make sure your encryption options and keys are the same as on the wireless router..

I know this is prob a lame question but how do i make sure my encryption options and keys are the same as on the wireless router?

its has to do with the security setting of "wep" or "wpa2". In china i found my tablet recognized wpa2 but until i did an upgrade it would not recognize wep.

Thanks but can you tell me how i would upgrade my unit i had a look at there web site do i just ask them for an upgrade?
