Rooting Advantages?

Hello Androiders!

Recently (Maybe just a few months ago) I decided to root my Tablet (An Acer Tab Iconia A500) Afterwards, I was able to do things my unrooted tablet couldn't do,such as use certain applications only compatible with root,change my lock screen......but that's all I know what to do with root. I'd like to know the full capabilities of my rooted tablet! Can someone be kind enough to point me to a good link or post on this forum? I've looked all over the interwebs and haven't found what I'm looking for.
