Rooting my new tablet

pleased to be a part of this community!

Got a new tablet a few months back here are the specs:

I'm interested in rooting it.
Ive heard it is the thing to do when you get a tablet.
could someone please point me in the right direction as to how i would go about doing this?
I know there are a few ways of rooting it.... Do you always get the same result of however way the device is rooted?
