The above is a fan-created mockup, and is not necessarily the real design of the Nexus 9 tablet.

The latest rumint regarding the Google Nexus 9 tablet suggests the HTC-made Android will be officially unveiled on October 15th. On top of that, we also have the retail launch date, which was named as November 3rd. The price is still rumored to come in at $399. While that number is quite a bit higher than the previous generation Nexus 7, the internal specs on this device are also quite a bit more robust than anything we have seen in an Android tablet before.

It will supposedly include a 9-inch QHD display, as well as the new NVIDIA Tegra K1 chipset based on the 192-CUDA core Kepler GPU architecture. It will also likely be the newest 64-bit version of this chipset, considering that Android L is designed to showcase 64-bit capability.

There's one other interesting tidbit regarding this leaked info. Supposedly Google will be breaking with tradition by selling the Nexus 9 immediately at other retailers instead of relying on Google Play Store exclusivity immediately.

This leads to a bit of intriguing speculative inquiry... if the Nexus 9 is unveiled on October 15th, doesn't it stand to reason that the Nexus 6 and any other new Android L products will also be unveiled the same day?
