set up wifi hotspot???

Its an option under wireless and network settings. Shows an SSID AndroidAP. When i turn it on it turns off the wifi switch and says portable wifi is active, but i get no connection. Can anyone help me with this??

You are not the first to have that happen I think that feature must have been intended for the 3G version as it turns the WiFi off if the 3G is active and the 3G off if the WiFi is on. So if you don't have 3G, (you didn't say), it sounds as if you're trying to turn your TF300 into a hotspot, but that doesn't make sense, to me anyway.
