Smartphone apps on Tablet

I have Motorola XOOM 2.
Can i play smartphone games and apps and my tablet (not the HD version) ?
can you please recommend me about good games and apps for my MOTOROLA XOOM 2?
and i have one more question:
I have downloaded SPLASHTOP HD but im not able to play games on it! when i start a game , the tablet shows me black screen but i still can hear the sound of the game.. why?

1. Yes you can use smartphone app and xoom as long you can dl from google play.
2. Splashtop. You need a good wifi/network to stream between two devices.

As long as the phone version is compatible, you can install them.

Not sure about Splashtop, never tried playing games on it myself.
