Status bar disappeared on home screen

Android 7 the status bar disappeared on home screen, if I'm using an app it shows. The bar that shows WiFi, battery and time. I did a factory reset and it was there but probably after an update it disappeared. I could use a different launcher and get it back.

I did use a different launcher and the bar was there. Didn't like the launcher and uninstalled it, the bar was back with original launcher. Don't know how long it will last.

Okay mysteriously disappeared again.
