Stuck on Tuz screen!

Whenever I start the tablet it loads past the Gentouch78 splash screen, and then gets stuck on the Tuz loading screen (the small cat with a beak if you didn't know his name). I have tried all the options from the fastboot menu, Clearing the Cache, and doing a factory restore. Neither solved my problem. I am starting to think it might be a hardware issue.

Also I have never modified this tablet in any way, I just use it for watching movies in bed and some light surfing.

I actually managed to get some custom firmware running on it and it is working just fine now after a bit of tinkering.
