Tablet Honor Pad X8 Home page

At the bottom of my Home page I have 2 sets of icons 6 on the left and 4 on the right separated by a vertical bar. I know what the icons are but what are the two separate blocks?

I can only speculate, but it appears Honor copied the iPad to an extent. Honor put the standard dock on the left. On the right is the recently-used apps.
