TEL7J - can this tablet run skype

Hello there - not sure if I am in the right spot for a new post appoligies if I am not.

I have a Tel7j that I want to put Skype on it for an up and coming cruise to keep in contact with family.

I managed to upload skype from SlideMe however it just never logs into - does this mean my system is too old and I am waisting my time.
