I believe all you need is to take it to a Virgin dealer , provide them with former owners ACCT#. and IMEI # and finally his PIn # and they can do it for you. I just saw Walmart online offering new Virgin MiFi 2200 for 129.00 with specials for Walmart only Customers, $25 2GB Month, $40 unlimited GB.!

It says 256kb or lower. I don't think that they would drop you down to dialup unless you were downloading a lot!
