New to forum can someone please tell me if the Iconia A500 can have a itbyte hdd contnected to the usb port and be read via a file manager program (want to access my music and movie collection to listen to and watch). Until now have only be able to connect a usb card reader via this port.

The drive will need to be formatted as fat32 unless rooted i believe.

I started a thread weeks ago on what portable drives may work on the Iconia since they do work on another brand android tablet.
If it's a regular hard drive it probably needs external power but there are several portable drives that will work.
