verizon usb modem

if i have a verizon usb modem ... how can i get it to work on an acer a500 tablet?

i use it on my laptop but want to know if i can get it to work on android. i pluged it in and nothing seems to come up or is visable on the desktop etc.

not sure if it can be used or not.

Guess no one else has tried this. VZ was not much help and said its not supported. I figured as much but thought someone may have gotten it to work.

Several other people have tried it. If I recall correctly, the conclusion was Android lacks the necessary drivers to support the modem.

OK I figured as much. The 3g would be nice but I don't need another data plan bill
