What is the "Downloads" folder is for?

Anyone seen that "Downloads" folder (or is it an app)? There's nothing in it. Even if I place something in it via computer, it still says there's nothing in it. So I wonder what is that for?

Apparently it's not for downloads, because even if I download something, it's still empty.

Most likely for firmware downloads and updates... I may be off but thats what I am assuming

It looks like files I downloaded from my browser have gone in there.

I have not downloaded anything from the browser yet, maybe that's why it's empty. Will test that.

Any thing downloaded from your browser will be in that folder....Give it a try

Well that brings up another question... Where are temp files for firmware updates stored?
