Won't pick up SD Card

I don't know if anyone else has had this issue or not, but my MD Tablet will not pick up my SD Card. I had it in before and it was working fine, then I took it out, and it wouldn't work. Then it started working again after it set for a minute. Now I can't get it to read again. I thought the first time was because I didn't unmount the card, so I made sure I did it the next time. Now it still won't work. Please help.

You may have to re-format the card, worth a try, anyway.

Edit: formatting WILL wipe everything on the card, although some recovery programs will be able to recover data if necessary.
