To the Mod's, I hope this isn't too disruptive but I had to share. I've been using Tipstr's Honeycomb ROM (B9) for a while now along with Launcher Pro. Launcher Pro recently had an update with "Skinnable" widgets so I've been playing around with my homescreens trying out some of the new skins

So today, a friend at work was hovering over me COMPLETELY convinced that I had some how loaded Android 3.0 onto my Coby. It really took me some convincing to get him to understand it was cosmetic. So the story got me thinking about all the cosmetic changes and I thought I'd share.. I guess I can see his point, LOL. Android is on the left, Coby is on the right.. you decide

Needless to say, the guy was somewhat resentful that he spent all that money on a top of the line tablet... he really only needed it for the web and doesn't use half of the features it has. I offered to trade but he just wasn't having it.

B12L has Launcher Pro as option now when you first install it. I did that because I wanted to see what you were seeing. Does work but uses 10% more RAM to do it so that's a trade off. But in any case my goal is to make everyone happy! :) Nice screens you got there! Share with the rest here how you get all those widgets or which ones your using? HW is now active so the performance is better than prior versions.

Below is Android OS 2.1 1-update HCV9.9.6 B12L on COBY 7015

Great stuff, tipstr... I love the Status bar on the Maylong. As for my Widgets, all of the Widgets shown are native to Launcher Pro with the exception of the CNN and Pandora Widgets. The newest update to Launcher Pro (LP 8.5) allows for individual Widget skinning. In the Market, search "Launcher Pro Themes" and you'll see a number of available skins or themes. All of the skins that I chose were developed by Signals23.

Once you've picked your themes and installed them, go to Launcher Pro > Preferences > LP Widget settings. You'll pick the settings for each Widget individually and there is now an option to choose a skin on each widget. The ones that I chose for my homescreens shown above were Gmail, Calendar, Bookmarks, and Friends (I prefer friends over FB and Tw because it displays both) So each one you see there has a different skin. The bookmark skin is labeled "Clear" and I really think it displays very close to the actual 3.0 Widget.

As for wanting to make everyone happy, I respect that. I can tell you 100% that I'm happy with my set up and ROM. I kept B9 but ported some of the APKs I was missing off of B12L because I like the Google icon in the upper corner but this is all great work. Thanks again :)

B12F what is missing as you talk about and better media player, thanks to one of our members where for sharing that info. Maylong task icons look cool don't they you could have had them in COBY but that feature was never implemented they left it out but the features are there though. Same. But LonPad who makes the KYROS 7015/7015A has them on there on their Q-D7 GPAD..

This is the newest Build 14L patch update will convert all those with B10L and B12L to B14L Released first as patch to retain your prior settings. 3 more build features have also been created and will be release those give you more features like like wallpaper an etc. I decided to release B14L and ditch B12L since B14L has the latest newer code as your just not getting cosmetic images your getting full coded system changes to the code for tweaks in battery, wifi, graphics and performance.

Google Logo is brought back but this time. Designed to be position correctly so when your LAND or Port position it will fall into place with the Home icon when that appears when you launch the default docker. Also included latest version Launcher Pro Plus is included as option using Home Switcher which is also included. All those Widgets you had mention works fine in B14L new coding.

This looks great, Tipstr. I can't wait to try this out tonight when I get home. Glad that the Launcher Pro was accepted as a part of these updates. I've had good experiences with it so far. Thanks for all the hard work.
