Adobe Air apps

So I've got my NC running the lastest CM7 nightly, with Adobe Air and Flash installed.

I've got an Air app on my laptop which mimics the web interface of a remote server I use. It basically runs in it's own window like a program. I was hoping I could download and use this on my tablet, since it was my understanding that Air apps are device-agnostic.

When I try to download it on the tablet, all I get is a wall of text and symbols. I figure it's trying to open the app like a webpage instead of saving it.

I was thinking of downloading it on my computer and trying to run that from my tablet instead.

Does anyone here have experience working with Adobe Air? Is what I'm trying to do feasible?

I'm pretty sure that's not what they mean when they say device agnostic. If it was running only in a web browser sure, but not an app. I think you will need an Adroid specific app for it to run on an Android device.

That's what I was afraid of. I figured it was too good to be true.
