android battery not working

Sir,

My android 2.2 tablet battery incidentally complete discharged , now i Plugged the cable into an adopter and try to charge battery for 8-9hours but tablet open only 01 to 02 minutes so please tell me how to recharge my tablet battery

Help?

It could be two things one the AC adapter or the battery in the tablet not working try another AC adapter to see if that helps you
