can't get emails

I have CWM and veg 7.1 on g-tab; have been trying since load to get / set up emails ..... the email app won't even get it started is anybody else having this trouble??? or know how to fix this ....

can you connect to the internet at all via the browser? what email app are you using? the one called email or the one called gmail?
