Can't use Calendar

We are having a really hard time figuring this out...have searched everywhere on the net and in these forums and can't find an answer anywhere. My daughter has a new Pandigital Supernova and when she clicks on "calendar" it says "you can configure an Exchange account in just a few steps". When we enter the email and password and click next, we get an error message that says "duplicate account this login is already in use for the account blah blah". can someone please tell us how to fix this. Thank you in advance.
