Coby MID 8048 No WiFi

I go to settings- wi fi- turn on wifi and it says "turning wi fi on" and just stays like that
eventually that message goes away and the wi-fi says off.
Under Status, macaddress and ip address are both unavailable.

What modifications have you done to the tablet?

also dump the tablet and upload it,

I am also having the same problem after flashing cwm recovery and the stock 8048 ROM per instructions here > http://www.androidtablets.net/forum...ment/51742-coby-8048-recovery-custom-rom.html Everything seemed to work great except no Wi-Fi. Just hangs on the "Turning Wi-Fi On..." when trying to turn the wifi on in settings or when trying to set up the tablet for the first time. I would gladly give you (vampirefo) the dump info but i'm not super savvy on how to give that info to you. Your above directions to the other users in this thread are too vague for me to understand. Sorry. I will also gladly buy you a couple of coffees if you can get my wi-fi working
