Downloading stuff

I don't know if this ok to ask or not is there a way to download stuff? Like limewire or bearshare you know a p2p app I found adownloader I couldn't get it to work. I have also read that frostwire dosen't work and what is IMDb? Do I have to pay to watch?

IMDb = Internet Movie Database. You can download all sorts of stuff, depends on what you want and what you want to do. Apps for the Android platform are *.apk files, exe files don't work. You can get apps from the Android Market or Amazon App Store or other independent markets.
