GPS for the 970.

I know this has been posted before, but, couldn't find it. What GPS App works well on the 970? Also, why do you like it over the one that came with the tablet?

Am going to be doing some traveling in the next few weeks and would like to try something new. Used the one in the tab today and just wondered what else is out there that works.

sygic is the one most people recommend. it is free.

I use and like Navfree (or Navfree US) on Android market. It allows you to download maps to your SD card so you don't need to be internet connected to know where you are and where you're going. It's not perfect, but it is improving and it's still free.

So is nav free a gps amp or just a map repository?

It's both. NavFree is the GPS app. When installed it then lets you select the maps you want to download. If you only want US maps, you need to install the NavFree US app, not the world app.
