How Much Memory for Sony S

I purchased the Sony S 16g. How much memory should I expect to have? I have 8.9g and only have loaded 427 mb in applications. The Sony website says the OS should be about 3.1gb... so why don't I have 13gb left? What am I missing? besides my memory....

Check your settings/storage. If you add everything up, it comes to a bit over 13gb. I have not idea why except there must be hidden functions to allow it to run. If you check a brand new 16gb SD card, it probably has less than 16gb of free space.
