How to remove the clock

Dunno how your Packard works but usually you just drag the icon to the Trash can

If you have lots of icons & widgets on your Honeycomb home screens, long press on them (for 1-2 seconds) and you will be able to then move them around. Whilst dragging them, a trash can that says "Remove" appears in the very top right hand corner of the screen. Drag the icon or widget to this "Remove" icon and it will remove it from your home screen.
You can add apps back by tapping the + button in the top right and going to the "Apps" or "Widgets" section and drag them to the screen of your choice.
