    Hm.. this is new...

    From the Emdoor article...

    PCBA Telechips TCC8803=415RMB
    Whole thing=750RMB
    Batteries 28-39RMB
    Plastic casing 19RMB
    Metallic casing 28RMB
    Touchscreen 7" 35-38RMB

Comparing to TCC8902, TCC8902 costs just around 500RMB right now to OEM for the whole thing. The PCBA costs 210RMB.

I heard that Freescale IMX515 is pretty close in cost to this for Cortex A8. Hopefully this results in a drop in Cortex A8 prices across the board.

The Haipad article stated $7.6USD(50RMB) for 512MB of RAM.

64.84USD is about 425RMB. Around 500RMB-600RMB out of the factory is typical now

If you want to see price of parts, see the styleflying PDF:

Here you see prices of all sorts of parts for a 7" TCC8902 tablet

Found these two upcomming MIDs while searching for new products based on
    7 inch TCC8803
    8 inch TCC8803

The 8 inch seems to be based on the casing of the predeccesor TCC8902 with replaced internals. Not sure wether the price is realistic for the new unit (seems a bit low to me also compared to the 7 inch) or if it is just a "copy-past-left over" from the TCC8802 based unit which currently sell at this price.

i'm not recommending any of those seller in particular, just wanted to share some upcomming tablets...
