[Kryos 7042]Is anyone trying to port cwm recovery and cm9 yet?

Was just wondering i dont like using the livesuit i know vampirefo.

ported it on the intercept... thx for that btw! im using the triumph right now lol. id love to see cm9 with optimized kernel and the wifi fixed downloads seems to be kinda buggy freeze the kryos.

CM9 on this would be nice but every build I have ever seen for a kyros never seems to get everything working right. If everything from USB hosting & charging, google location, hdmi, and the camera would work that would be great. I bet we would even have face unlock (not that i would use it). I hear there are a bunch of ICS easter eggs in CM9 too, like a screensaver feature and some crazy 3D home screen launcher. I use CM7 on my htc hero and it makes a big difference. Alas, I dont think we will ever see a stable CM9 for the kyros series.

Installation guide:


1. Connected your Allwinner A10 tablet to the PC.
2. Make sure your Allwinner A10 is plugged in with USB debugging enabled.
   Goto Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging
3. Set your display sleep to 30mins
   Goto Settings > Display > Sleep > 30mins
3. Run/double-clicked "fullmarket" (.bat file)
----> choose "a. Complete script installation."
4. After installation is complete, press any key to reboot the tablet.
5. Unplug the USB cable when the tablet started reboot. (Reboot make take a little longer.)
6. Remember to set back display sleep time.. if you want.

Possible errors and solutions:
------------------------------
1. Problem:  No Device Found / Devices Not Found
   Solution: -make sure you connected the USB cable to the computer
             -make sure you enabled USB Debugging
             -make sure you installed the proper ADB drivers for these AllWinner A10 tablets

2. Problem:  Apps are crashing/force closing randomly
   Solution: -go to Settings > Backup & reset > "Factory data reset"
             -after it reboots, no need to run complete script again


3. Problem:  Market (Play Store) paid apps will not download
   Solution: -re-run the script for GApps and Framework
             -if it still does not work, choose option 5 to install old Market

How is using cwm for recovery, I'm a little spooked on trying it. I would mess with a lot more Allwinner roms if I could back up my current and try things out relatively safely. Might even try and whip one up myself.

I will give this rom a try as soon as I can, I can run momo8 and Iview 760 tcp system on my tablets, so this one should work just fine as well with the same modifications I made to momo8 and Iview 760 tcp systems .

Well I downloaded it, this isn't a rom at all just a bunch of scripts.
