Mx Video Player issue with wmv's

New to having a tablet, installed MX video and the appropriate codec. It plays some wmv's that arrive in the mail but others it plays audio but no video yet both are wmv files

If you click the screen while is playing, on the upper right corner it will give you options to use different codecs. Usually two or three.

Tried that but only the HW option is available, the SW option is there but cannot be accessed.

In that case try Mobo Player. Normally if one of them doesn't cover it the other one will do (hopefully).
