No sound from Acer A500 HDMI audio output

I was watching on my Tv through Hdmi with all-OK then I switched TVs and now there is no hdmi output sound. I confirmed hdmi sound out with another identical tablet so it is not the tv or cable.

Did you get help with this? I have the same issue--no sound when using the HDMI cabke from the android. Thanks
