As the other thread has gone, I start this new one.

I got my RAmos W3HD tablet some weeks ago and really love it.
It is a 7" capacitive display showing 1024x600 pixels.
It's powered by an RK2918 CPU, featuring an 1GHz Cortex-A8, it has
512 MB DDR3-RAM and 8 GB NAND storage.

The overall performance is quite good. Even when running some apps
at the same time. The sceen is very colourful and bright.
The high resulution makes everything look very nice.

The device is made totally of plastic which makes it looking
a bit cheap, but build quality is excellent.
The back is rubberized, which means it can be hold easily.

It has two cameras, they work now with the latest release of Skype.
Its a front facing 0.3 MP cam for Skype etc. and on the back
it has a 2MP cam.
Both are working fine, the can be switched in the Android camera app.
But the image quality is not worth mentioning. As webcam its fine, but
for anything else.... (But not that big issue - Who ever wants to take photos with a tablet?)

As in the old thread somebody requested some HD videos. Here you go:

Playing 1080p Hangover2 Trailer

1080p Harry Potter Trailer:

Playing Angry Birds:

(Sorry for the video quality, had to take them with my mobile...)

But as you can see, it can decode 1080p in Hardware with no delays.
And as you might hear, the Mono-speaker, located at the back of the tablet
is really crap. Sound with headphones is great.

And at last, this website open in Opera:

Hope you find this short review helpful.

Yeah, the post disappeared! I asked the admin why but... no answer

I sent you a link to a chinese webpage showing the tablet running the new sdk 2.0
http://bbs.imp3.net/thread-10465221-1-1.html

And the download is here
http://115.com/file/cltesra7 (original chinese site)
or
http://www.rapidspread.com/file.jsp?id=kxacsq5ux9 (multiple sites of your choice)

Anyway, thx for the review, and uploading the videos and photo. It looks really nice.

What do you think about battery life? I read it has only 3000 mah...

And you mentioned the possibility of Skype, so I guess it has a mic also...

Hi,

yes the tablet has a mic.
And you have the opportunity to select front or back cam in Skype.
This is really nice.

I have seen the link to the new firmware, but didn't tried it, as it was not released
officially by RAmos - and I'm fine with the standard Android GUI.

The battery should be only 3000 mAh, at least the manual says it....
But the device runs about 4-5 hours.

I'm really happy with it.

Hi,

RAmos has now released a new firmware for the W3HD.

It is based on Android 2.3.1 and is not the same as the default RockChip SDK2.0
but a complete own developement.
It includes the interface shown on the photos on the RAmos website.

It looks really nice, and runs smooth.
But some of the apps are not translated yet, and you will find
a some chinese stuff...
Hope they'll fix that soon.

Firmware is available from RAmos site, or

Hi Guys.
I just bouhgt the RAmos Miu Miu W3HD.
It comes with the honeycomb-like UI.
Battery was totally empty so i charged it for 3 hours and it's OK.
Screen is colorful and contrast is good. I sometimes just have problem with the hold action. When I hold my finger on screen, it's just like i'm tapping rapidly instead of holding.
Front and rear camera just suck, but I think it's not the principal feature poeple need on tablets.
I just would like to know if there are developer (like on xda) that offer optimized ROMs, with tuto.

Hi..

Am interested in this as well..
Seems all around winner, with ability to skype, nice..
Except for the battery life, 3300 mAh doesn't sound convincing to me :(

You mention you got around 4-5 hours, do you turn wifi on? do you do games a lot or just browsing?
Thx, will pull the trigger on this if i can do games on 4 hours with wifi on with this one :)
