I am new to the tablet world. I just purchased the Hertab M802/APAD IMX515 Android 2.2 Flash 10.1. How do I get started. I tried to set up my WI-FI. It starts to connect but then disconnects immediately and I hear you have to root it and install google. Is there a web link with instructions to do so?

Better question What don't I own, Oh a generic APAD
You do not need to Root to input WEP info. What you likely have is a "placer address" which has something like 169.x.x.x . You need to verify you have entered the Key correctly into the passcode and attempt reconnect. If appropriately connected, it will give you a 192.168.x.x address.
Routers give placer addresses when you connect to the WLAN router, but does not connect you to the network.
