Do programs like these: Amazon.com: EasyTether: Appstore for Android actually work?

I like my tablet as it is, out of the box and after company updates. I have no intention on rooting.

The chances of needing internet access on my tablet when I'm not around a Wifi signal are extremely rare (maybe twice since I've owned it). But the option is always nice.

This requires USB connection, correct? And it would then work with the tablet? And I wouldn't incur additional charges from Verizon? (Other than the possible future data plan Gb limitations).

So confused ... constant state of mind!

Hey there. I may be wrong,but all of the non root apps I have tried always bring up my Verizon screen to subscribe. I had to root and tried pdanet for tablets. Seems to work OK for me.
