Gorilla glass is amazing for scratch resistance but any substantial fall will still break it especially if it's on a corner.

Gorilla Glass is CORNING GLASS trade mark name for their product. Many others produce hardened glass products, some exceeding the strength of gorilla glass. That said it is still glass - no matter the name it can & will break! So treat it with care!

Gorilla glass is a wonderful product and I honestly wouldn't buy a tablet without it, but its main claim to fame is not that it is unbreakable but that it VERY scratch resistant.
