Has anyone tried to play a 720p video on s7? mine plays but at a horrible framerate...

but since playing 720p video was one of the selling point here in Taiwan, I'd like to know if anyone has done it and played smoothly?

there was a thread regarding the video format and what can/cannot play, but I don't think they got the 720p to work either :(

so~ has anyone tried to play 720p video on the s7 :D? if so~ could you kindly tell me the spec of the video? :D

Thank you ^^

Thanks guys, for the link and very detailed formats,

I tried using hardware decoding mode but it kept saying mine vid weren't supported, I guess i'll need to convert my videos..

would the file type matter? like mkv, mp4, avi ..etc , or it wouldn't matter? :)

to use hardware decoding mode you need video with h264/avc codec with .mp4 container. i guess rockplayer also support .mkv container.
h264/avc codec plays better in hardware decoding mode.

others than h264/avc codec, you need to play in "software decoding mode".
