A few basics missing

I purchased a Galaxy 10.1 a few months ago and I love it in almost every respect. The one exception is that it is awkward in doing what I originally bought it for: writing music reviews live at concerts. Although I have three word processors installed, none of them offers a word counter or a spell checker. A problem of equal gravity is that, having written something in a word processor, I can't copy and paste it into another application to send it as e-mail text. (I could send the wp file as an attachment, but they wouldn't like that one bit in the newsroom.) Any thoughts?

OfficeSuite Pro does word count, and you can save a file as a text file as well. Right now the only office app with spell check is Android Office, or so I've read. Which seems a little odd because ICS seems to have spell check functionality built in to it, so it would seem a simple matter for developers to include it.
