Acer just made a bold announcement. They are releasing their newest Iconia Tab A200 with the NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core chip sometime soon before the Christmas holidays, but that isn't what gives their press release impact. They claim that they will have Ice Cream Sandwich ready for this device in January, which is a lot more specific than most other manufacturers have shared. Here's a reminder of the specs on this tab:
  • NVIDIA's 1GHz Tegra 2 processor
  • 1GB of RAM
  • 10.1-inch display with 1280 x 800 resolution
  • Available in Titanium Gray or Metallic Red
  • 2MP front facing camera
  • Includes Acer Ring, which is a multitasking manager with shortcuts to Google Maps, screenshot functions and more. [/quote]
Here's the full press release:

Isn't the Ring the interface from the Windows series of tablets? That's kinda cool. Screenshot will be nice. My most important question is, where do I get that cool time/temp widget - I didn't see that anywhere on my A500, unless I'm blind.
