can you remove gadgets from tnt lite?

Just installed tnt lite and I think this will be the rom I stay with. Its quick, and so far, stable. The phone gadget and various phone aps are annoying, though. Is there a way to either uninstall them or at least make them invisible?
Forums like this and helpful, experienced users who are willing to share their knowledge and their experience, are going to make the g tablet very successful, IMO. Big thanks to the generous genius's on the forum.

From what i read, the devs left the phone APK because something needed for the system to run might be in those apps or so I read.

As for making them invisible, I got Launcher Pro Plus. Allows you to customize your dock - add / remove items. App drawer - Make items invisible. Widgets for facebook / twitter.

Thanks! I know my way around PC's but Android is a brand new playground. I'll try a couple of new launchers and report back.
