Cannot to my wifi router at home (Westell, Verizon DSL)

Got my SGT 10.1 yesterday. I am unable to connect to my home router (Westell). I'm on Verizon DSL. My droid charge has no problem connecting to my router.

There's an open (non-secured) router in my building and I'm able to connect to it.

I've read the entries in Galaxy Tab 7 forums about the same issue. I've tried resetting my SGT 10.1 to factory setting, resetting my router, and setting my wifi connection to single IP address but none has worked so far.

I've read the rooting solution but I'm hesitant to do it at this point.

Can anyone help me? Thanks much!

So you can connect to a non-secure wireless network but not your own network? Have you tried changing the security settings on your router? I think I'm using WPA2/PSK.

I've tried removing security (WEP) but it did not resolve the problem. Apparently, based on other comments in the other forum, the issue is not related to security.

Vizconde... I have a linksys router that is secure and the device connected on the first try. Do your other wireless devices connect eith no trouble to your home router?
