Can't connect to internet etc etc

Hi, I have just purchased a new 7" Android 2.2 ePad WiFi 256MB Flash Camera Tablet
However, the problems I'm having are:-
Cannot connect to internet via my external modem which is a Huawei E220.
Cannot access my word documents via my USB flash drive
Cannot set up my email accounts
Cannot access browser (obviously)
What do I need to do - please help!!

Are you able to see the Modem? Can you access the internet using that modem with any other devices? does your device support external USB devices? Can you access other files on the USB? If you cannot connect to the internet, you can't set up email. you have to have a connection to do the configuration.
