I had purchased a Coby MID7012 for my 11yr old daughter. The problem I am having is that a lot of the sites she visits requires adobe flash player. When i attempt to download flash player from adobe it states that it is already installed???

I appreciate any help with this

thank you

i jumped the gun on the 10.1 file I was talking about, I posted the offer before I actually verified it worked LOL. However I stumbled onto a solution and have posted it at the bottom of this thread.

Hi ellandry,

Can you share a link to the file uploaded somewhere so others who've been struggling to get flash on the MID7012 can benefit? That would be really cool of you, thanks! :D

Holy Cr@p I have full flash working on MID7012

ok I am so tired right now hopefully I make sense. I have installed so many versions on this tablet im surprised im not blind. I tried rooting the tablet and adding the Flash lite files. I tried install the ARM6 tweaked version of Flash, nothing worked. I stumbled on this web browser that I had never heard of before. After installing it I noticed it had specific options in the settings for invoking flash so I said WTH. Well when I browse with the browser all Flash sites and games work. Adobes site says im running flash 10.3.xxxx and even the Disney Channel TV web site which is laden with Flash runs perfectly as do the videos and audio there. Im not taking credit for doing anything special but something this browser is doing seems to solve the Flash access problem so I thought I would share my good fortune.

I can confirm that the mediafire browser link below works with the Coby Kyros MID7120. Watching vids on YouTube right now...a little lag on the video but that may be the 'net/network traffic --- or it could be that Flash on Puffin isn't as smooth as we'd like. :) But the sound is great, with no lag/stutter.

Have been a lurker for a little over a month ever since I got the Coby Kyros MID-7012.
Was almost ready to give up finding a solution for the Adobe flash player issue till I stumbled across another link which led me directly to your post.
I decided to register on this site and to say a BIG thank you.
Cheers.

Hi,

I'm new to the androidtablets.net forums (just registered today). I found this thread back in Feb. via some sort of Google search and sent myself the link. I finally found the time to try this stuff out. I downloaded the Puffin browser using ellandry's link, but I don't see any link here for the Flash file itself. I've been searching and there are many point releases of Flash 10.1 out there. Which one is the one that actually works?

thanks,

Nick
