FlatComputing also promises that the device will be upgradeable to Android 2.2 "sometime" in August. These specs look fantastic, when compared to the Augen GenTouch. The build quality also looks much improved, as the device seems to be more metallic than "plasticky." The only downside is that pesky resistive display. But for $285, this sounds like a bargain. And for better or worse, the device looks exactly like an iPad.

Before anyone else gets scammed, this is not an A8 Cortex tablet.

It runs a remarked ARM11 CPU between 800MHz and 1GHz, with JIT enabled to mask CPU faking.

Thanks for the tip. The price is very high $285 and it's coming from Texas I believe. Tax $23 and Shipping $16 charges bring this unit to $324 for it. Another replicated iPAD look-a-like but not using the A8 as you say.
