[Help] Imito tablet wifi issues: can't connect

Hello, I have a Imito tablet and it has wifi issues: it detects any existing wifi network but then it can't connect to them, even if it's an open network.The wifi status goes to "connecting" to "disconnected" continuously. I set the dynamic IP so it's not an IP conflict problem. When I open the "ethernet settings" panel it says "Ethernet: not available" and on "linkage status" it says "failed to turn up ethernet device: is it existent?".
The pad is new so I am really concerned about it, do you have any idea? Maybe updating the firmware will help?

Despite the incredible help got on this issue i succeeded: the problem was my local router, which was filtering the devices by MAC address and not letting my tablet to connect. Now it's working fine

Could you elaborate on how to fix this for someone less computer-literate? I'm having the same issue with my imito tablet.
