Help Please - 2.2 tablet

Hi I am new here - sorry if this post is in the wrong area.

I bought my partner a 2.2 android - midp702 tablet. Its not too bad but she cant get the latest android market. how do we upgrade to newer version for the tablet? is there some way? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
