I'm planning on buying a Android Tablet for Christmas and I was waiting for the Herotab MID816 to become available when I noticed the recent availability of the Elocity A7 so now I'm not sure which one to get.
Both tablets look pretty good, but as the Herotab ($229) is not yet available and the Elocity A7 ($299) just became available today, I can only base my decision on the technical specs.
My main criteria are:
7" or 8" screen
Fast Processor
Android 2.2
Flash 10.1
HDMI Output
Ability to root in the future
Ability to add the Google Android Marketplace in the future
On the Herotab side, I prefer the 8" screen, price and possible 3g dongle compatibility. On the Elocity side, I prefer the capacitive touchscreen, bluetooth and faster processor.
I'm new to the Android scene, so any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
