How can I make use of my micro SD card in the IRULU tablet?

I just put an 8 gig micro SD card in. I hope I have installed it properly. It clicked in but is not very tight in the IRULU. How do I tell if it is working? How do I format it? How do I save data to it? I would appreciate any help I can get.

You can start by going to settings -storage and see if it sees it. If it does try to mount it and it may or may not ask to be formatted. If it mounts OK you can use a file manager/explorer to move media to the card. Let's start there. (I have additional info on moving files in a link below)

What if it doesnt show up undr storage? Have I inserted it wrong? OK I got it mouñted &seen by storage. What file mgmt ap do you recommend?

Astro File Manager and ES File Explorer are both pretty good and there are free versions on the Market.
