How to Reload Data + Settings After a Factory Reset?

I was forced to perform a factory reset on my Acer A1-810 tablet yesterday after a freeze up on the loading screen that simply could not be resolved. The tablet had Backup settings turn on, and I thought all data-pictures, apps and setting would be restored from Google servers after the reset... Thus far, nothing has been restored. I have Googled various permutations of ''How to retrieve data after a factory reset'' with no luck. So, the $100.000 question is, where do I go to have all my data reloaded to the tablet?

Unfortunately other than some settings Google doesn't actually back up much, certainly not docs and photos. There are plenty of apps that will, like Google Photo for one.

Thank you for your reply (and sorry for the last response, this weekend has been hectic).
I just wish I knew what caused the tablet to have its meltdown in the first place. I keep wondering if a full factory reset ws necessary. But, it's over and done now.
