My son set a pattern code and has had "too may pattern attempts!" it says to unlock sign in with a google account. NO Google account works. what do I need to do?
Had the WiFi been on and connected, (which can happen even with a locked screen) and you had the proper credentials it would have let you in. Since all that didn't work you will need to do a factory reset.
